About The Nest
More Than a Store-
A Ministry that is Supporting Moms, Strengthening Families and Building Community
The Nest is a nonprofit boutique located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s North Side, offering affordable children’s clothing and furnishings for families with children from newborn through age 12. But what happens inside our doors is far more than retail.
Founded by Allegheny Center Alliance Church and Network of Life, The Nest is a safe, welcoming space for moms, grandmothers, and caregivers from all walks of life—especially single moms, immigrant families, and those navigating hardship. Here, families find practical resources, friendly faces, and the love of Christ in action.
Every item we stock, every diaper we share, and every conversation we have is part of a bigger story—one of building strong families and vibrant communities.

The Nest is for Everyone
The Nest is a place for everyone with little peeps in their lives
—and a heart for helping others.
We believe in secondhand shopping that’s good for the planet and the community. The Nest is open to everyone—not just those currently experiencing hardship. Whether you’re a bargain hunter, a vintage lover, or a conscious shopper, there’s something here for you.

In fact, many families make The Nest part of their regular routine: shopping affordably, discovering one-of-a-kind pieces, and donating items when they’re ready to pass them on.

"When we walked into The Nest, we were immediately surrounded by kindness. We’re so thankful for Lynne and all the volunteers who make this place possible."
